Custom Suits in Coquitlam: What the Appointment Looks Like

What a made-to-measure suit appointment at Cardero's Coquitlam studio actually looks like, from the 21 measurements to the fabric, and what it costs.
Cardero's Coquitlam studio serves the western Lower Mainland with the same made-to-measure process available at our Langley and Abbotsford locations. If you are in Coquitlam, Burnaby, Port Moody, Port Coquitlam, New Westminster, or the surrounding area, this is the nearest studio.
The Coquitlam Studio
Located at HQ Workspaces, 3030 Lincoln Ave, Unit 211. Appointments are by appointment only. No walk-ins.
The studio serves professionals across the Tri-Cities and Burnaby areas. The appointments are private and one-on-one. There is no commission structure at Cardero, at any location.
What Made-to-Measure Means
Made-to-measure is not the same as off-the-rack or bespoke. It sits between the two.
Off-the-rack is built to a standard size and purchased ready-made. Bespoke is a pattern drafted entirely from scratch by a master tailor over multiple fittings. Made-to-measure takes an existing pattern and modifies it to your specific measurements. For the full explanation of these distinctions, made to measure vs bespoke is the right starting point.
The result: a garment that fits your body rather than a size average, at a fraction of the cost and timeline of true bespoke work.
What the Appointment Covers
The appointment runs 45 to 90 minutes. There are three parts.
The first is a style profile conversation. We cover your professional life, your lifestyle, your wardrobe goals, and what occasions you dress for. This conversation shapes all the decisions that follow.
The second is the measurement session. We take 21 measurements and store them permanently in your file. These measurements are updated after any order and any adjustments. Every subsequent garment is built from a more complete and refined picture of your body.
The third is the design session. You choose the fabric, the colour, the lapel style, the lining, and every other detail. You make every decision, with guidance from someone who has no financial interest in any particular outcome.
Within 24 hours of the appointment, you receive a written style profile. It identifies your colour palette, your wardrobe gaps, and a recommended 12-month build plan. This document is yours regardless of whether you order anything.
The Production Timeline
Five to six weeks from order to delivery. If you order more than one suit, we produce the first one ahead of the rest to confirm fit before completing the order. If any adjustments are needed when the garment arrives, Cardero covers the cost and has it handled locally.
Reorders take 20 minutes and production takes approximately four weeks.

Lower Mainland Professionals
The Coquitlam studio serves the same range of professionals as the Langley and Abbotsford studios: men at career transition points who need a wardrobe that reflects where they are going, grooms and wedding parties, men with athletic builds who have not been able to find off-the-rack fit, and professionals who want a permanent measurement file and a reliable reorder process. For the full picture of all three BC studio locations and the made-to-measure process, the BC made-to-measure guide is the regional overview.
Cardero has been building wardrobes for men in the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland since 2015. The measurement file stays with you across locations. If you move from Coquitlam to Langley, the file moves with you.
